REGULATIONS
FDA and Gilley's
Gilley's TanSpa follows all FDA Regulations.
FDA Requirements:
A complete 24 hours between tanning sessions.
We do not make any exceptions.
Some equipment requires 48 hours between tanning sessions.
Your technician will advise you.
Approved protective eyewear must be worn while tanning
Gilley's TanSpa has eyewear for sale and will ask to see your eyewear before we assign you to a sunbed.
Illinois FDA requires a signed information form annually and parent signed consent for tanners between the ages of 14 to 18.
Wisconsin FDA allows you to tan after your 16th birthday with no parent's consent.
All tanners must fill out a questionnaire annually.
This will give us:
Your skin tone type.
Help us determine the
maximum exposure time.
Set your tanning visits.
The FDA prohibits children accompanying you into the sunroom.
Our technicians are busy ensuring everyones tanning experience is pleasurable and do not have time to babysit unattended children.
Each sunbed is sanitized before every use with a germicide that is tested to ensure its strength.
If for some reason you question the cleanliness of your sunbed please notify your tanning technician.
Gilley's Requirements:
If you are pregnant or on any sun sensitive medication, please consult your doctor before using any bed.
Make-up should be removed before tanning because some chemicals may cause a reaction, sun screens in make-up will prevent you from getting optimal results. Contacts must be removed and all jewelry should also be removed before tanning.
You should turn over occasionally during your session because tanning sometimes causes pressure points (areas that do not tan) on your shoulder blades and tailbone. This is caused when the blood circulation is inhibited in those areas from laying on the acrylic.
Smoking is not allowed anywhere in the centers. This includes restrooms and sunrooms.
Management reserves the right to deny you to tan if the technician feels you are disruptive and if the technician feels you are under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
We are sorry but cannot be responsible for personal valuables left on our premises.
